I’m Austin, and I coach the way I wish someone had coached me
Who I Am
My Story
I've been lifting since I was 16, but I'll be honest with you, for years I had no idea what I was doing. No tracking, no plan, just showing up and hoping. It wasn't until I was 21, once I'd stopped bouncing between colleges and finally settled into a stable life, that I started taking it seriously. I began tracking my lifts, progressively overloading, eating mostly whole foods and actually paying attention to my calories and macros. That's when everything changed.
And I learned my biggest lesson the hard way. My first real cut, I had everything dialed in, except sleep. I was running on under six hours of sleep a night, constantly under recovered, and I watched myself lose hard earned muscle because of it. It taught me that the basics, training, nutrition, and recovery, aren't optional. That experience is a big part of how I coach now: no flashy gimmicks, just the things that actually work, done consistently.
Why I do this
I've always found joy in serving people. It's just who I am. And I can't think of a better way to serve than through something I'm genuinely passionate about.
Here's what I've seen firsthand: getting in shape changes more than your body. People respect you more. They give you more attention. Doors open. It's the gateway to living your best life, and yet so many people hold themselves back from it.
I think it's because change is scary. Some people would rather stay in a familiar hell than risk an unfamiliar heaven. They stay in situations they know are bad, because the unknown, even if it's better, feels riskier. I get it. I struggle with taking that leap too, which is exactly why I know how intimidating it feels. My job is to make the leap less scary, and to show you how simple this can actually be.
What I Believe
If you've been given a body that's healthy and capable, you have something a lot of people would give anything for. To me, letting it waste away through a sedentary life and poor food isn't just a missed opportunity, it's a kind of ingratitude. We're meant to honor our bodies. How we treat them reflects what we value. So, I coach from a place of gratitude, not guilt: you get to do this, and it's worth doing well.
